Development is a goal most people consider as a necessity. It is inevitable to identify the existing differences of locales across the province in terms of provision of diverse indices so that the plans appropriate to each locale can be made. Using numerical taxonomy, the present study evaluated the spatial distribution of Isfahan cities in terms of sports sites and facilities using 18 indices. The main aim of this study was to find the existing gap among these cities in terms of sport sites and facilities. The statistical population consisted of all the cities of Isfahan province. The results showed that as long as sport sites and spaces were concerned, Isfahan, Kashan, Mobarakeh and Shahinshahr benefited more than other cities. Khor and Biabanak, Felaverjan, Natanz, Fereydunshahr, Lanjan, Nain, Khansar, Barkhar and Meimeh and Ardestan were deprived of such facilities regarding those indices under study. The results implied a kind of inequality and imbalance in the development of sport facilities in the cities of Isfahan province. Meanwhile, Isfahan city had the first place in the mentioned indices as it is the political center in this province.
