Exporting sport goods is one of the most important sectors in sport industry which plays a vital role in increasing economic growth of different countries. Also, due to the reliance of Iran on single-product economy and salvation of Iran from economic pressures and crises, attention to this section of the sport industry which a capacity to its prosperity and development has been provided, is required more than before. Therefore, Using Granger causal test, this study examined the relationship between sport industry export and non-oil export. The model variables were all growth rate of main variables at constant prices of 2006 in the period of 1992 to 2012 collected from Central Bank and the Central Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Granger causality test results revealed that the hypothesis of lack of causality between two variables could not be accepted. So, the growth of sporting goods export at 99% confidence was the Granger reason of the growth in non-oil, and the growth of non-oil export (except for sport) and the growth of non-oil export at 95% confidence was the Granger reason of the growth of sporting goods export. Also, the other findings showed that the causal relationship between the variables of the growth of sporting goods export and the growth of non-oil export (except for sport) was interactive. So it can be generally said that the variables of growth of sporting goods export and the growth of non-oil export (except for sport) affect each other.
