Abstract
Introduction: The present study was conducted with the aim of The main challenges of using metaversion in developing human capital in sports organizations: A mixed study.
Methods: This research is applied in terms of purpose and mixed in terms of method (qualitative-quantitative), which was conducted in the period from the beginning of 1403 to the summer of 1404. In the qualitative part, a grounded theory approach (Glazer model) and semi-structured interviews with 14 experts in the field of human resources and metaverse were used, which continued until theoretical saturation was reached. In the quantitative part, a 45-item researcher-made questionnaire was distributed and analyzed among 104 human resources managers of sports organizations, faculty members, and metaverse activists. Qualitative data analysis was performed using open, axial, and selective coding in MaxQDA software, and quantitative data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling in SPSS and Smart PLS software.
Results: The results of the qualitative part led to the extraction of 45 initial codes, which were organized into 6 main challenges, including technological and infrastructure challenges, financial and economic challenges, human and cultural challenges, legal and security challenges, and managerial and organizational challenges.
Conclusion: Overall, the research results show that the effective use of metaversion in the development of human capital in sports organizations requires a comprehensive and strategic look at a set of technological, economic, human, legal, and managerial challenges. Without providing the necessary infrastructure and cultural and organizational readiness, the realization of metaversion's transformative potential will not be possible.
