The Sport Management Journal of Faculty of Sport Sciences and Health of University of Tehran, which was formerly named "Harakat" started its work as a quarterly journal in 1999 with a scientific-research degree. Until 2009, 39 issues of Harakat journal were published, which published 168 articles on topics in sports physiology, 108 articles on sports management, 80 articles on sports motor learning and development, and 62 articles on sports medicine. Since December 2009, from issue 40 onwards, this journal has published articles in 4 specialized academic majors. Sports Management journal started working by obtaining a valid scientific rating from the Commission of Scientific Publications on 2009. This journal covers: Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour Management, Sports Economics and Marketing, Strategic Management and Sports Events and Facility.
In 2021, In an assessment by the Scientific Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Sport Management Journal won grade B. Also, in 2019, in the latest evaluation of the Islamic World Science Citation (ISC) database, this publication received an impact factor of 0.351 and a Q1 rank.
According to the rules of open-access publications, all studies published in this journal are freely accessible to the public on the journal's website without payment.
