Abstract

Trade in sporting goods is an integral part of the country's economy, but Iran's share of this industry is very small. To enter the world trade of sporting goods, one of the requirements is to identify the factors affecting foreign trade in sporting goods of the country, which was the purpose of this research. The present study was mixed in two parts, qualitative and quantitative. A semi-structured interview was conducted with 19 experts in the field of research and using qualitative content analysis method, 34subcategories and 10categories were extracted. For consensus, Delphi method was performed in two rounds with 7 experts, then an expert questionnaire was designed and distributed. Finally, prioritization of the factors affecting the share of sporting goods in foreign trade was done using MATLAB software and FAHP method. The results of fuzzy AHP analysis showed that structural-managerial factors, technical and scientific factors, marketing mix, government supports, economic factors, production factors, socio-cultural factors, laws and regulations, market structure, and political factors respectively affect the share of sporting goods in foreign trade of the country. It appears that in order to increase the share of sporting goods in Iran's foreign trade, attention must be given to structural-managerial factors. This includes leveraging existing potentials to create necessary platforms that support domestic producers, enhance product quality, establish a foothold in the domestic market, and eventually access global markets.
