Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this research was to study the qualitative development of indicators and criteria for performance evaluation of physical education and sports activities office of the Ministry of Education.

Research method: The method was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of data. The data was analyzed using two methods of document content analysis and theme analysis derived from interviews and semi-open questions. The participants included 8 university professors and 20 experts and managers of the headquarters of the Vice-Chancellor of Physical Education and Health. The data were analyzed by content analysis and theme analysis. Four criteria of reliability, transferability, and verifiability were used to measure the accuracy of qualitative research.

Findings: Financial system management in student sport, equipment and standard spaces, human resource and beneficiary’s management, development of physical education curriculum, promotion of sport extracurricular in schools, communication and organizational partnerships, promotion of research and development, and benefiting from the volunteer force forms the main axes of the student sports performance evaluation system.

Conclusion: The findings of this research calculated and presented the criteria and indicators for evaluating the performance of the student sport field, based on which the relevant managers and trustees can use these criteria and indicators to create appropriate legal mechanisms and structures for evaluation. and evaluate the performance of student sport as a part of the public formal education and training system.
