Abstract

Introduction: Pahlevani and zurkhaneh sports as an intangible Iranian cultural heritage can create a special capacity for development of creative sports tourism in Iran. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting the development of creative sports tourism based on intangible cultural heritage.
Methods: The present research is applied research in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical research in terms of nature. The data of this research were also collected in the field. Also, this research is one of the qualitative researches that used the method of data theory and Glaser approach. Library studies along with interviews were the main method of data collection in the present study.
Results: Based on the results of the factors affecting the development of creative tourism based on intangible cultural heritage, 108 concepts (codes), 13 categories and 2 dimensions were classified. Accordingly, political, economic, social and cultural factors, technology and technology, legal and governance and environmental subset of external factors and management factors, human resources, infrastructure, education and research, international interactions, marketing and tourist attractions were identified as internal factors in this study.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that the thirteen factors identified in this study each play an important role in development of this sector of tourism and officials and decision makers in this area can use benefit from the results of this research in order to develop tourism in general and creative tourism and sports tourism in particular.
