Abstract

The purpose of the present research was studying the relationship between empowerment and organizational learning in staffs of university of Tehran and Tarbiyat Moalem physical education faculties. The research population consist of all university of Tehran and Tarbiyat Moalem physical education faculties staffs that consist of 180 people. The research sample is 108 people.
In order to data gathering Spreitzer (1995) and Shafi (2005) questionnaires was applied. The validity and reliability of questionnaire in the target population examined and approved. For data analysis some statistical techniques (like: k-s, Pearson correlation, linear regression and correlation matrix analysis) were used. The results show that the mean of empowerment is equal to 69.89% and the organizational learning is equal to 73.46%. Moreover, the positive and significant relationship between empowerment and organizational learning was observed (p< 0/01, r= 0.558). Policy makers and managers of these two faculties will be able to emphasis on empowering and enabling staff to develop an effective way to improve organizational learning and creating learning organizations.
