The aim of this research was to determine those factors affecting sport tourism service quality. The research method was descriptive – correlation which was conducted as a field research. The statistical sample consisted of 265 tourists who were randomly selected from those spectators attending Tehran Azadi stadium to watch a football game between Esteghlal and Persepolis teams in March 2011. Shonk’s questionnaire was used to collect the data. The validity and reliability were approved (α=0.892). The SPSS 16 software was used for descriptive statistics and exploratory factor analysis. Also, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) were performed by LISREL software. The results showed that although “access quality”, “sport complex quality” and “contest quality” had significant effects on sport tourism service quality, the effect of contest quality was more and these variables should receive special attention to improve sport tourism.
