Abstract
The purpose of this research was to design and codify a development strategy for athletic sport in Sistan & Baluchestan Province. The statistical sample of this research consisted of 30 (21 men and 9 women) physical education professors of higher educational institutes, physical education managers of academic board in Sciences, Researches and Technology Ministry, physical education managers and experts, and managers of the governmental and private departments of the province who had a role in athletic sport. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect the data (the validity was approved by experienced professors and its reliability was verified by Cronbach’s alpha method as ? = 92%). The questionnaire included 46 ranked questions about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of athletic sport in Sistan & Baluchestan. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, average comparison test, and Friedman test. Research findings showed that Sistan & Baluchestan province (population: 2.5 million) participated in athletic sport below 0.001%. Realization of the goal of athletic sport and employment of all national and native capacities along with the growth and development of athletic sport in this province was presented..
