Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study organizational climate and faculty members' participation in decision making in Physical Education Faculty of Tehran University. For this purpose, 30 faculty members of Physical Education Faculty were selected with census method as the statistical sample. Data were collected by two questionnaires: organizational climate (?=0.92) and participation in decision making (?=0.96). Finally, the results indicated that organizational climate of Physical Education Faculty was closed and faculty members’ participation in decision making was low. Moreover, the results indicated a significant and positive relationship (P= 0.01) between the two variables (organizational climate and participation in decision making) as well as between all subscales of organizational climate and participation in decision making (P=0.01). Besides, other results showed no significant difference between organizational climate and participation in decision making from male and female faculty members' viewpoint (P= 0.05).
