Abstract

The aim of this research was to study triple management skills of managers of physical education departments at state universities. The survey was a case study which used descriptive methodology. The Goudarzi (1381) questionnaire was used to collect data (a = 0.973). The research population consisted of all managers of physical education departments of state universities (n=41) as well as physical education management experts (n=11). Finally, 20 questionnaires from department managers and 11 questionnaires from experts were collected. Kolmogorov- Smirnoff test, Friedman variance analysis and the independent t-test were used to analyze the data (P<0.05). The results showed a significant difference among triple management skills of the managers of physical education departments (?2=52.197, P<0.05). The priority of these skills was as follows: human skills (MR=2.84), conceptual skills (MR=2.13) and technical skills (MR=-1.03). It can be claimed that human skills play an important role in performing managerial assignments in different management levels of all organizations and it can be considered as an essential factor in performing managerial assignments.
