Designing a business model for educational startups to develop sports skills in students

Abstract
Introduction: The aim of the present study was to design a business model for educational startups to develop sports skills in students.
Methods: The research method was conducted with a qualitative approach and content analysis, which was applied in terms of purpose and field data collection. The statistical population of the study included founders of educational startups, sports coaches, school administrators, parents of students, and experts in the field of sports management who were selected through purposive sampling (17 people). Data analysis was performed for open, axial, and selective coding, and open coding was performed by analyzing the interviews. The validity and reliability of the data were confirmed.
Results: Based on the identified open codes, axial codes including market and customer needs analysis, innovation and technology, collaboration and networking, and sustainable revenue models were formed, and a theoretical model was developed with the help of selective coding. Then, the final model was approved by experts. The results showed that the use of new technologies and the creation of effective cooperation networks between schools, startups and sports institutions can play a key role in increasing access to sports education and promoting educational justice.
Conclusion: Also, designing sustainable revenue models based on the needs of students and parents can greatly contribute to the long-term development of startups.
