Abstract

Introduction: The present study was designed with the aim of presenting a model for developing knowledge-based experiential writing in Iranian sports organizations.

Methods: The present study was a qualitative research that was implemented in the field. The qualitative method used in the present study was of the grounded theory type. The participants in the present study included experts who were aware of the research topic. The participants in this study were selected using purposive sampling and with a homogeneous sampling approach while observing maximum diversity. This issue was shaped until theoretical saturation was reached. Finally, 13 interviews were conducted in this regard. These individuals included experts who were fully familiar with the subject of the present study. In other words, they had valuable background in this regard from a scientific and practical perspective. The data collection tool in the present study was a semi-structured interview.

Results: The results showed that the experiential writing cycle includes identifying and determining knowledge needs and experiences, collecting knowledge and experiences, organizing and classifying experiences, analyzing and evaluating experiences, sharing and disseminating experiences, applying and implementing experiences, and reviewing and updating knowledge.

Conclusion: The results also showed that the effective factors for promoting knowledge-based experiential writing in Iranian sports organizations include 9 factors, which include social, cultural, managerial, supra-organizational, legal, educational, psychological, communication, and technological factors.
