Abstract
Introduction: The aim of this study was to propose a smart management model for the physical education system in schools, with an emphasis on modern technologies.
Methods: This applied research employed a qualitative approach, specifically using Grounded Theory based on the Strauss and Corbin methodology. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with experts and administrators in the fields of educational management, technology, and physical education. Data collection followed purposive sampling combined with snowball sampling techniques, continuing until theoretical saturation was reached. Data triangulation was employed to ensure validity and comprehensiveness in the findings.
Results: The coding process resulted in 166 open codes, 32 subcategories, and five core categories: causal conditions, intervening conditions, contextual conditions, strategies, and consequences. These were synthesized into the final conceptual model presented in the study.
Conclusion: The alignment of the findings with the objectives of Iran’s Fundamental Reform Document of Education, particularly the focus on empowering teachers through technology, offers a platform for enhancing students’ motor literacy and promoting a healthy lifestyle. This, in turn, improves the quality of instruction and student engagement. It is recommended that policymakers prioritize the development of digital infrastructure, establish national standards for physical education technologies, provide professional development for teachers, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and formulate data protection protocols. This model can serve as a framework for implementation across all provinces in the country, contributing to the transformation of the physical education system, enhancement of public health, and advancement of entrepreneurial education through school-based physical education.
