Iran. This research used a descriptive – correlation research conducted as field. The statistical population consisted of 42 managers of Ministry of Sport and Youth who equaled the sample. Data were gathered using the questionnaire of organizational structure of Robbins (1987) (including 18 items) and a researcher – made questionnaire for information technology (including 9 items). The validity of these questionnaires was approved by 7 professional sport management professors and their reliability was estimated by Chronbach's alpha coefficient as 0.81 and 0.82 respectively. Descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation test were used to analyze the data. The results showed a significant relationship between IT and organizational structure in Ministry of Sport and Youth (P=0.001). Also, the relationship between IT and dimensions of organizational structure was examined and a positive significant relationship between IT and 3 dimensions of organizational structure: complexity (P=0.023) formalization (P=0.014) and centralization (P=0.007). Findings revealed that complexity, formalization and centralization increased using IT in Ministry of Sport and Youth which in fact decreased creativity and slow communications of employees. هدف از این پژوهش بررسی رابطة بین فناوری اطلاعات و ساختار سازمانی در وزارت ورزش و جوانان بود که به روش توصیفی – همبستگی و به شکل میدانی انجام گرفت. جامعة آماری تحقیق 42 نفر از مدیران ستادی وزارت ورزش و جوانان بودند، که تمامی آنها به­عنوان نمونة آماری انتخاب شدند. برای جمع­آوری اطلاعات از پرسشنامة ساختار سازمانی رابینز (1987) شامل 18 سؤال و پرسشنامة محقق­ساختة فناوری اطلاعات شامل 9 سؤال استفاده شد. روایی این پرسشنامه­ها را 7 نفر از استادان صاحب نظر رشتة مدیریت ورزشی تأیید کردند. همچنین پایایی پرسشنامه­ها با آلفای کرونباخ به­ترتیب 81/0 و 82/0 به­دست آمد. داده­های به­دست­آمده با استفاده از آمار توصیفی و آزمون همبستگی اسپیرمن تجزیه­وتحلیل شد. نتایج نشان داد که بین فناوری اطلاعات و ساختار سازمانی در وزارت ورزش و جوانان رابطة معناداری وجود دارد (001/0 = P). همچنین رابطة بین فناوری اطلاعات و ابعاد ساختار سازمانی آزمون شد و این نتیجه به­دست آمد که بین فناوری اطلاعات با سه بعد پیچیدگی (023/0 = P)، رسمیت (014/0 = P) و تمرکز (007/0 = P) در وزارت ورزش و جوانان ارتباط مثبت و معناداری وجود دارد. نتایج نشان داد که با به­کارگیری فناوری اطلاعات در وزارت ورزش و جوانان، رسمیت، پیچیدگی و تمرکز افزایش یافته و این مسئله موجب کاهش خلاقیت کارکنا و کندی ارتباطات شده است. https://jsm.ut.ac.ir/article_35715_af5ac7432f2b60611a2b2081da85bdc0.pdf
